This house has been designed as an architectural masterpiece as only the Danes are able to do. The majestic curving wooden beams are something that cannot be found in many houses. The warmth of the wooden materials used in combination with the sleek look of the polished concrete floor makes this villa a dream to wake up in.

The villa has many opportunities to enjoy the outside weather, with a lovely circular fireplace at the rooftop terrace with 360° views.

Only 100 meters away is the nearest beach to enjoy some beach days. Located under the villa is a yoga studio that provides yoga classes for the neighbourhood, but which is open to take part in as part of the villa rental as well.

The villa is located at the northern island of Sjælland and only a 30 minute drive to the charming town of Helsingør.

The layout of the house

The open plan kitchen and living space creates enormous space, as well as highlighting the curving beams that pass along the ceiling even more. Large parts of the villa boasts floor to ceiling windows, letting much daylight in through the entire day and providing for spectacular views. The seating area is built into the floor, in a 60’s style yet with a bohemian touch.

Villa Sunlight comes with three bedrooms all equipped with king sized beds. The large wooden dining table fits 8-10 guests, which is located to the left of the large gourmet kitchen. The lounge corner at the back of the living room has a modern fireplace installed hanging from the ceiling.

Location

Villa Sunlight is located in Gilleje in Denmark, which is the northern part of the Sjælland island. Denmark has very accessible roads and logistics which makes a day trip a very easy option. Helsingør is only 30 minutes driving away, where you can visit the Kronborg Castle which is the castle that is said to have inspired Shakespeare to write Hamlet. From Helsingør it is also possible to take the ferry over to Helsingborg in Sweden.

The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is a must visit and is only a 30 minute drive from the villa as well. The capital city Copenhagen is an hour drive away, as is the Copenhagen airport.
